It's about a handful of convicts escaping from a gulag camp somewhere north of the Baikal. Their aim to reach India. It's based on a book, not sure if it's a novel or a memoir, but even that supposed to be based on real life experience of the author. The authenticity of his words is questioned. I prefer the nature shots.
