The Washouts
Interesting Episode. I was surprised that they showed Lightning Dust being not either trying to redeem herself or get vengeance. She still hated the wonderbolts, but wasn't out to destroy them or freak out at the mention. I liked how she was portrayed with that bit of nuance. Additionally was surprised they didn't make it solely be on Rainbow's jealousy with the washouts turning out to be somewhat okay. Overall a pretty good ep and one that I have written a bit of notes on and will watch again. Wonder how it will affect Scootaloo's development if at all, since I have been wondering how far the CMC would explore their original hinted hobbies, and this could almost shut off scoots from stunts and such. ** Also heard about this being a continuity error with Parental Guidance but have yet to check it out.
A Rockhoof and a Hard Place
I loved this one comedy wise. Though it did give off feeling of clutter with jumping around so many places and showing what the other pillars with up too real quick. Though I don't consider the jumpng bad but it can make pacing feel weird/take away a bit of the charm of a simple setting. Still, it's nice that they fit in some good stuff. I do wonder about some of the stuff implied, like the hipogriff navy. Or TS talking about the stars as if there Celestial objects and not in a classical fairytale sense (not a complaint, just curious considering earlier lore, pic related).
