what´s your problem if liking it isn´t new anymore? People don´t give as many fucks because outsiders (not all) know that there is fanbase and that this generation has caught a mainstream appeal previous generations didn´t have. Hell, it´s because of gen 4 MLP is relevant on the internet. How many bronies love previous gens? Less than 10% and that´s being generous for gen 1 (because it brought Spike, AJ, Tirek, the seaponies and the Smooze that earned a 2nd life in gen 4).

It´s stupid to deny that you like it. Just don´t act as an asshole in real life and enjoy it in private if you feel pressured. As long as you don´t scream that you like to the 4 winds, it will be fine. If someone does, introduce it subtly or something but man, MLP barely surprises anyone. Not even the rule 34 of it impresses that much because that´s how internet works.

Erm, the golden era may be remembered as golden because of its popularity but THAT CORRELATION DOESN´T IMPLY TOP QUALITY. The times have changed and even the show admits it in Forever Filly and a few episodes from these last two seasons. 2018 has delivered a lot of art that I like more than pictures from 2013 for example. Times were more simple but that fun doesn´t compare. It´s different. I am talking with a biased view because I wasn´t there to enjoy it. However, if 20% cooler ,SWAG glasses and dubstep was all the fun, then I wouldn´t have personally enjoyed it as much as I do.
