>>12053 RE anonymity & human nature >Those media reports were hitting really hard and I have a great deal of sympathy to those that were manipulated by them. Yes--we are remember that now, but later people will forget and wonder why there was such a hysterical reaction. Not that there should be no reaction, but this was over the top bc of being whipped up by MSM and Dems.
>anonymity should be banned altogether Many people must have felt that way--it got 8chan kicked off the net, didn't it? Smart of them to step down, tho, important to recognize those times of special danger when best course is to disappear or lie low. Crowd hysteria impossible to counter, like a great storm of emotion that must dissipate over time. Although it sounds like you were able to get thru to your friend by pointing out the simple truth that most people aren't shooters, most people are decent. Much like Q's "trust the plan." Joe M. makes the same point when he says "you and I are not criminals"; Anne Frank too, saying "people are basically good."
The MSM argument is that anonymity is bad bc it makes people irresponsible. A vocal minority, yes. But not the majority. And even the noisy bad actors--how many are anons vs shills??
On new boards like this one and QRB, there are mostly anons not shills. And the atmosphere is good, even great at times. But you'll never see this in the press, obviously.
Earlier i posted something on a hit piece talking about white supremacy being on the rise--whole article was a lie, just like all the rest. >>11887
