Always hard to find the right language. we all know people who are too full of themselves--and people who are confident but not deluded about their limitations. Very different kettle of fish.
"Pride" in the biblical sense usually means (in the modern sense, at least) "undeserved pride."
Bottom line: whether something is a vice or virtue depends upon how we use it--just like a gun. too much or too little is no good.
Modern day DS tactic is to undermine self-confidence and other male virtues, so we won't challenge their right to call the shots (using muh advanced degrees & connections). Until DS is defeated, let's use our masculine virtues to fry their hides. (Prayer also--God offers great therapy for low rates!)
