ID = pleasure principals - food now
EGO = Reality Principals - dinner at 5
SUPEREGO = Morality Principals - cant live by bread alone

seems the ego is a problem with compromising for the id.
and in the way of the superego taking the reighns

the superego must be maintained for efficiency and correct growth
