the harder you pull away from the finger trap
the tighter it binds you
in order to get out
you have to relax, and slowly move your fingers 'further in' to loosen the strands, in order to release the bond and "get out of the trap"

fighting it just binds it tighter to you
"let go" of it
and it 'lets go' of you
