On this day, 244 years ago, the United States Marine Corps was founded. Marines celebrate this day with the Marine Corps Ball and the cutting of a cake with a ceremonial sabre. It is apropos to send greetings and salutations to your fellow Marines and thank them for their service in our mutual struggle to keep America free.
