I think it's because there was some weird ass drama between hotwheels and jim and others back in the day, and this is the only way hotwheels can get revenge, by promoting the death of 8chan. I can't remember what the bs drama was, but hotwheels has some serious drama that he hasn't gotten over. There's also a rumor that he has some legal exposure that he thinks only the death of 8chan can save him from.
