It sounds as if you are mistaking an observation and suggestion as a personal attack. It was not.

A suggestion is free to be heeded or not, that is its nature.

Typically, adults are able to accept healthy criticism, observations and/or suggestions amicably and either incorporate them (oh, good idea) or elucidate their reasons for not doing so; at the bare minimum, to consider them honestly in an objective manner as possible.

The only thing that matters is the end product.

Part of being an anon is that it is not personal. Nothing here is personal.
Differing opinions of the importance of a data point, analysis of that and other items, memes or even avenues of research are all valid and occur often because many people are adding to what has been produced (posted). Once something is produced (posted), it is no longer the property of (belongs to) that individual - it is relinquished into the sausage-grinder and will be evaluated, picked apart (perhaps mercilessly mocked) and refined or rejected. Not everyone can handle this, and retain some emotional attachment to their product, and so may resist or be upset/offended by even the most gentle suggestions or criticism of others of that product, which hinders the refinement into something good and valid and helpful.

The only thing that matters is the end product.

This post is not only for you, or this particular issue, but true generally, and sometimes we all need to be reminded.
