Boris Johnson’s former flatmate who praised his ‘effortless superiority’ dies at 58
The former Oxford student led a colourful life - and was full of praise for the former Prime Minister.
A former flatmate of Boris Johnson, who once described him as “the most talented person of my generation”, has died. Matthew Leeming, 58, was found dead on November 29 2022, and had lived with the former Prime Minister during their time at university.
The cause of his death is yet to be determined.
Mr Leeming, according to the Times, had been “variously” a journalist, writer, adventurer, serial entrepreneur and street pastor. He struck up a friendship with Mr Johnson early on in their Oxford careers and shared a house together during their time there.
