Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B)
Note: The FAA does not require an authorization to conduct ADS-B Out operations in the airspace specified in § 91.225 (U.S. airspace). Additionally, there is no authorization required to use ADS-B In for basic traffic situational awareness. However, an authorization is required to conduct the more advanced operations using ADS-B In, such as CDTI Assisted Visual Separation (CAVS), and In-Trail Procedure.
