I did write a paper about seven yrs ago but focused on Rothschild family bank, specifically Edmond de Rothschild, and his "investment" in the 1800's in the Middle East. Because of the Industrial Revolution and it's combustible engine the family saw they could develop the land. Trains and irrigation where now possible and with the completion of the Suez Canal the produce could be shipped to feed Europe. The first wave of immigrants where farmers and where very successful in developing the land - the Ottoman Empire was retreating and the available land was being developed and sold to the immigrants. Even the nomadic desert Bedouin began participating in farming. The first wave of immigrants went back to tell Rothschild they were good and didn't need more help and that's when he told them no way is he leaving. The next wave of immigrants Rothschild sent were told to seek religious land and were radicalized [reminds me of antifa] and here we are...
