Property records are public info. You can go to the county tax assessors website and pull up records on any parcel of land, including who owns it and all the times it’s been sold since we’ve been keeping records. If you don’t know how to do that, go to the website for the local building dept and click the link to the county parcel map. Plug in the address of a piece of property, and it will show it to you on the map. Then click the parcel and follow the link to the assessors info.
If they don’t want to sell their land, they don’t have to. Also, they would be wise to remember farms and ranches are businesses, and it’s illegal for businesses to collude. So, don’t violate the law, and there won’t be anything to sue you for.
