Doug TenNapel (blue check implied) @DougTenNapel - I come to Ai as a non-threat because I learned to draw first. That's why digital art didn't threaten my creativity when it took so many analogue artist's jobs. I could still draw.
Users find that Ai offers so much ease in creating that they don't feel as comfortable creating the old-fashioned way because it can be more expensive and time-consuming. I learned vocabulary before I ever cracked open a thesaurus.
I'm casual about digital and Ai helps because I laid a lot of track making real art. I had the blessing of being born early enough that I talked to people in real life before texting on an iPhone.
Digital and Ai should never replace learning the real... and while I'll find agreement on people poo-pooing Ai, they'll disagree with me about their use of Photoshop. Nothing can replace reality. Digital tools and Artificial intelligence will always be great tools and a terrible replacement (that shouldn't be the purpose) for real intelligence and tactile experience.

Dr. Martin Makary @DrMakaryFDA - The best way to prevent cavities in children is by avoiding excessive sugar intake and good dental hygiene, not by altering a child’s microbiome. For the same reason that fluoride may kill bacteria on teeth, it may also kill intestinal bacteria important for a child’s health.

U.S. FDA @US_FDA
Today, FDA announced that it is initiating action to remove concentrated ingestible fluoride prescription drug products for children from the market. Unlike toothpaste with fluoride or fluoride rinses, these products are swallowed and ingested by infants and toddlers.

Dr. Martin Makary @DrMakaryFDA - For too long high-quality options for infant formula have been limited. We should be asking ourselves why American Moms are importing formula from other countries. The FDA is taking action.
