From a previous post (and I have been guilty of this myself):
It's because ~3 out of 4 MAGA voters do not vote in primaries!
Here's the proof:
- AK/Murkowski: 85,344 votes in 2022 primary; 46% of Trump's 184,458 votes
- IA/Ernst: 226,589 votes in 2020 primary; 24% of Trump's 927,019 votes
- KY/McConnell: 342,660 votes in 2020 primary; 26% of Trump's 1,337,494 votes
- NC/Tillis: 608,943 votes in 2020 primary; 21% of Trump's 2,898,423 votes
- ND/Cramer: 82,692 votes in 2024 primary; 36% of Trump's 246,505 votes
- SD/Rounds: 70,365 votes in 2020 primary; 26% of Trump's 272,081 votes
- UT/Curtis: 206,094 votes in 2024 primary; 23% of Trump's 883,818 votes

Don't worry, we in the GOP have known how useless Congress is for the longest time. The problem is that we don't show up in primary votes when someone has a challenger that NEEDS to be voted out.
