This is not some European lunacy. The NED Journal of Democracy - which is a quasi-governmental publication written by the same people in charge of our foreign policy - openly writes about how to ban the Republican Party without appearing to be hypocrites. On our taxpayer dollars. And the NED board has active sitting members of Congress on it - not retirees, sitting members.
They already threw the lawfare book at Trump, and they will ban the GOP the first chance they get. You will not understand globalists unless you internalize why populism is worse than any Russian threat.

We discussed weapons supplies and strengthening air defense. Given the increase in Russian attacks, this remains one of our top priorities. We also covered the purchase of American weapons, joint defense manufacturing, and localization efforts in Ukraine.
We focused in detail on sanctions pressure. We understand the need for tougher restrictions on Russian energy, especially secondary sanctions targeting buyers of Russian oil. We are hopeful for progress on the bill proposed by Senators Graham and Blumenthal in the U.S. Congress. This could certainly make Russia give greater thought to peace.
