The Presidency: President Andrew Jackson in 1834. Daniel Feller - Andrew Jackson Papers editor emeritus - looked back at 1834 and the consequential events that year in Jackson's presidency, including the Senate's official censure of President Jackson, the survival of the federally chartered Bank of the United States, tensions with the Cherokee Indians, and the ill-fated attempt to buy Texas from Mexico. The East Tennessee History Center in Knoxville hosted this event.

America 250: Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" Speech. Patrick Henry spoke his famous words, "Give me liberty or give me death!" at the Second Virginia Convention in March 1775. On the 250th anniversary, and in its original location, St. John's Church in Richmond, the Virginia 250 Commission commemorated the event. Actors portrayed delegates and speakers included Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R), filmmaker Ken Burns, and VA250 National Honorary Chair Carly Fiorina.
