President Biden Addresses Nation on Attempted Assassination of Former President Trump
President Biden addressed the nation from the Oval Office to condemn the previous-day assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump and all acts of political violence. He said the motives of the shooter were still unknown as the investigation was ongoing. The president urged all Americans to resolve their differences "at the ballot box ... not with bullets" and to treat each other with dignity and respect.
