Doug TenNapel (blue check implied) @DougTenNapel - Trump winning was the biggest insult to elites like Obama. They think only the cool kids win popularity contests. The leftwing media ran stories about how low Trump and his supporters were and how high-end Obama, Biden, Kamala and leftism's intellectuals were by comparison. Trump's win demoralized the Obamas of the world because they have to admit that red blooded patriotism can sit at the head of our institutions and function well if given the same sets of rules... and that's why they never employ to the same sets of rules.
Leftism can never win on an even playing field, in a world of facts, without mass media bullying and manipulation. Their whole model is to control the means of production because that's their only shot at holding anything from education to entertainment to government.
