I just finished nearly four weeks in Poland, and boy did I learn a lot of history. Here’s a thread and it’s going to be long:
1. Poland has an interesting relationship with Napoleon Bonaparte. There are plaques, statues, and streets named after him. Pictured are his statues in the Krakow National Museum and on a Basilica in Poznan.
The Napoleonic Wars also play a big role in how the Poles portray their history.
I understand he did a lot of campaigning in Poland, but I have not yet visited a country that commemorates him so fervently.

When Washington State passed a law targeting Catholic priests and the sacred seal of Confession, @CivilRights took action.
