U.S. Coast Guard @USCG - The United States Coast Guard has a new Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard. Master Chief Petty Officer Phillip N. Waldron relieved Master Chief Petty Officer Heath B. Jones in a Change of Watch ceremony in Alexandria, Va., today.
Master Chief Waldron is the 15th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard. A second-generation Coast Guardsman, he joined the Coast Guard in 1999 and most recently served as Command Master Chief at the Personnel Service Center. Master Chief Waldron’s distinguished career includes a range of afloat and ashore assignments. His extensive experience and proven senior leadership have prepared him to assume the highest senior enlisted leadership position in the Service.
As the Coast Guard transforms to a more agile, capable, and responsive force through Force Design 2028, Master Chief Waldron’s leadership, experience, and perspective will be invaluable.
