Reed Timmer, PhD @ReedTimmerUSA - The latest GFS model, which is often off its rocker at this range, is forecasting two major hurricanes on either side of Florida by around August 22.
This is NOT A FORECAST, but is coincident with the expected uptick in #hurricane activity expected in the Atlantic Basin by the second half of August. This next round of tropical waves should be able to stay south of the Bermuda High and avoid recurvature.
There is nothing to do now except continue to watch for updates over the next 7-10 days.
