Asked if the reported delay was at the hospital or with VA insurance authorization, the hospital provided this statement:
“The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is committed to working with patients to facilitate insurance authorizations and to ensuring patients receive timely administration of therapy, once approved.”
Veterans Advocacy Group @Burnpit360 Is Supporting Sgt. Lloyd and Countless Other Veterans.
“Let’s not be complacent in the number of PACT Act claims — the law didn’t cure anyone. These men and women are dying. Twenty years after Iraq, we’re seeing a spike in cancers from burn pit exposure. Sgt. Kevin Lloyd is not an exception — he is a warning. The VA must establish a fast-track toxic exposure program, like the World Trade Center Health Program, before more families lose their loved ones to delays.”
We are posting this picture of Kevin receiving his chemo with the family’s permission.
