Bill Melugin @BillMelugin_ - BREAKING: ICE's Boston field office tells @FoxNews they just conducted a 4-day operation in Connecticut called "Operation Broken Trust" in response to the state's recent expansion of its sanctuary state law. The op led to 65 arrests of illegal aliens, including dozens w/ serious criminal convictions or charges, including kidnapping, sex offenses, drug offenses, weapons violations, and violent assaults.
We will have the chief of ICE Boston's field office, Patricia Hyde, live on FOX in the 9am ET hour as I fill in w/ @DanaPerino.
Hyde provided the following statement regarding the operation:
“Sanctuary legislation like Connecticut’s Trust Act only endangers the communities it claims to protect. Such laws only force law enforcement professionals to release criminal alien offenders back into the very communities they have already victimized. The state of Connecticut is a safer place thanks to the hard work and determination of the men and women of ICE and our federal partners. Working together, we were able to arrest 65 illegal aliens in just four days throughout Connecticut, many of whom had significant criminality in the United States."
