DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - I looked up Census numbers this morning and found something surprising. The total U.S. population of people who identify as White alone and not Hispanic/Latino peaked at about 197 million in the early 2010s. Since then, it has steadily declined, and went into freefall in 2020, falling to about 191 million in 2023.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Setting aside the impact of COVID-19, the trend looks like natural population decline driven by falling fertility.
