Let’s be honest here. If Obama reduced crime in DC, Chicago or anywhere else, he’d be hailed as a hero.
If he reduced border crossings to nearly zero, they would cheer.
If he was succeeding with tariffs, they’d call him a genius.
If Obama, brought world leaders together via zoom, he’d win the Nobel prize again.
Trump did it, so it’s bad. Ok, if that’s the hill you want to die on, fine. I won’t even argue with you anymore.
But you can’t stop to celebrate 12 days without a Black person being murdered in an area where it was common? Even if you dont like the optics of the means? Even if you hate the person responsible for it? Over the past two weeks, in DC, no Black parent got a call that their son wasnt coming home. No 3 year old child caught a stray bullet. And you are upset?
We are now cheering for Mayors who exacerbated the blight of Black people in their city.
Maybe I’ve had a front row seat to the madness for too long. Maybe I’m the crazy one and you are right.
But I’ll wear ‘crazy’ like a badge of honor. After what I’ve seen, you could never get me to disagree with what’s occurring.
It was necessary thousands of dead Black bodies ago.
