Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neill @HHS_Jim - Americans have the right to control their health data and share it with their providers. Such sharing helps them navigate their care and improve their health. Unfortunately, some companies resist cooperating with patients' wishes.
In 2020, HHS under President Trump finalized the Cures Act Final Rule, prohibiting health information blocking. Today, Secretary Kennedy and I announced HHS’s commitment to vigorous enforcement of this rule. Going forward, patients will have full access to their health data, supporting the Secretary’s goal of Making America Healthy Again.
