Judicial and Justice Department Pending Nominations
The Senate Judiciary Committee held a confirmation hearing for pending judicial and Justice Department nominees. The judicial nominees were: Amy Coney Barrett, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals; Joan Louise Larsen, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals; William L. Campbell, Middle District of Tennessee; and Thomas Parker, Western District of Tennessee. Eric Dreiband was the president's pick for assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. Committee members questioned the nominees on such topics as how each would enforce and interpret law.
