Brooke Rollins @BrookeLRollins - The death of my sweetest friend and fellow warrior for Christ and for America Charlie Kirk is a profound tragedy, first and foremost for his lovely Erika and their two beloved children that he leaves behind. They feel it more keenly than any of us can, and our first duty is to pray, both for his soul, and for their peace.
There are little children who will now grow up without the father they loved, and that emptiness will never leave them. For those of us fortunate to witness it firsthand, the bond between Erika and Charlie was beautiful and unbreakable - even in death. Their marriage defined Christ-centered.
I feel it too - hard. And am truly heartbroken. I’ve known Charlie since he was a teenager, and I cannot begin to imagine a world without him. Now I will have to. Now we all will have to.
This tragedy centers upon him and his beloved family, but make no mistake: this is a tragedy for America too, no matter what your politics. Trading away the politics of reason and persuasion — Charlie’s life’s work — for the false politics of violence and murder is trading away America itself. What was killed today was a man, of infinite worth in the sight of God — but the killer’s target was our America too.
Pray. Pray like you never have before. Pray for the man we lost, for he sits in the company of a generous God; pray for his grieving wife and precious children; and pray for our nation. We need it, and nothing could matter more.
Charlie I will miss you forever. And we will fight on in your name. It will be one of my life’s greatest honors to do so.

Caroline Wren @CarolineWren - I appreciate the coverage Fox News is giving Charlie Kirk tonight, but let’s not forget that Fox banned Charlie from coming on the network from 2021-2024 and the same anchors crying on air tonight over losing “an amazing champion for free speech” are the same anchors who didn’t have the guts to challenge Murdoch, Paul Ryan and Karl Rove when they banned Charlie from their network.
