Charlie Kirk (1993-2025) was a conservative political activist, author, and podcaster. He co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 to advocate for conservative ideas in high schools and college campuses across the country. Kirk served as the group's executive director, as well as CEO of Turning Point Action. Kirk was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He studied briefly at Harper College in Illinois before turning to political activism full time. He became a key ally of President Trump and is widely credited with having mobilized the youth vote for Trump in the 2024 election. Kirk was on the first stop of his American Comeback Tour when he was gunned down during an event at Utah Valley University. Kirk was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries. He was 31 years old and is survived by his wife and two young children.
