This isn't ICE who's directive is solely focused on their mission and therefore only engage in respect to defending themselves and local HQ from ongoing protests at their facility playing defense. The ongoing stand-off there has probably given them a sense of inflated ego about their ability to withstand the full force of APEX predators coming at them on offense.
That's an entirely different animal altogether.
In the end, it d/n matter what our (or their) opinions are. Trump wouldn't have made this designation if he didn't intend on moving on them, no different than he did labeling cartels foreign narco-terrorist outfits and then having the Navy target drug boats trying to leave Venezuela. Even there, its only a matter of when and not if there is an offensive into the country.
Honestly, if they (Antifa) were smart they would just close up shop and disperse. Just move away and leave that life behind them, but IDK if even that would save them.
It's a lock that Federal Agents have long ago infiltrated their ranks and/or turned some of their own into informants. All their cell phones, emails, social media accts would already be under surveillance (think RICO) and all their personal addresses already collected. Honestly, I'd be shocked if there weren't already plans made for a large takedown where they swoop in and scoop up all the shot callers first.
And it's because I'd personally prefer a peaceful resolution here, I'd urge them to cease and desist. However, I don't think that's going to happen.
Remember, the Govt has virtually limitless resources, agents, investigators, and prosecutors to throw at this. And there is no question that Portland, being ground zero, is their #1 target.
