William Wolfe @William_E_Wolfe - Just had the craziest Uber driver experience in Phoenix.
The driver was very “concerned” that the Charlie Kirk memorial service was “mostly white people” and that “black people were hurting” over this.
He said he was a Christian.
I tried for 15 minutes to have a reasonable conversation with him. I said to myself “that’s what Charlie would have wanted.”
The conversation went all over the place: Race, immigration, Christianity vs social justice, etc.
But by the end of it, I have to admit, I couldn’t tolerate his broken moral compass.
As we got out (me, @DustyDeevers, @NateSchlomann, and @stevegentry) I said, “A husband and a father is dead. His family is grieving. And you’re more concerned about the demographic breakdown of his memorial service? What’s wrong with you?”
And that’s how it ended.
