Jeff Clark @JeffClarkUS - I am very grateful for the support of these former U.S. Attorneys General.
But this does remind me of the loss of my friend Boyden Gray. He was a gem of a man and a lawyer. His partners and associates, of course, are clearly continuing and growing his legacy, as this brief shows.

I’ll spend more time reading the amicus brief just filed by the 3 AGs to support me but I can already see that it is excellent work exposing the illogic and unconstitutionality of what a total at this point of 12 DC Bar volunteers (9 lawyers + 3 laypeople), not government officials are trying to do to me, based on a trumped-up political lawfare — or what many have started to call barfare.

BREAKING: Can you imagine disbarring a lawyer for a first draft of potential legal arguments and internal debates with their own colleagues? The D.C. Bar can, and is trying it right now.
BG has filed an amicus brief on behalf of three former Attorneys General—Bill Barr, Jeff Sessions, and Michael Mukasey—defending @JeffClarkUS, explaining that the D.C. Bar’s bid to disbar him for “attempted dishonesty” for “sincere” positions he took in internal DOJ deliberations violates common sense and the constitutional separation of powers.
Punishing federal lawyers for confidential advice would discourage candor, politicize the bar, and cripple executive decision-making.
This case is bigger than Clark – it’s about preserving separation of powers and the authority of the President.
