Video: Teens Arrested, Cops Recover Stockpile of Weapons, Ammunition
By Detective Eric Muñoz Multiple teens were arrested and two remain outstanding after police responded to a report of an armed suspect in the Lake Washington Apartments last week. On Sept 22, at about 3:45 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of an armed suspect near a suspicious vehicle. Officers knew this car, a Chevrolet Malibu, for being involved in a Sept. 20 shooting. The car was seen between apartment buildings in the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South. Witnesses said they saw the group of teens exchanging guns whenever they were in the area. Officers set up an arrest team and moved in. When the suspects saw police, they jumped out of the car and ran away as it rolled forward and crashed into a police cruiser. Officers ran after and captured four of the suspects, two 16-year-old boys, and two girls, 16 and 17. Two of the suspects have not been located. Police seized the vehicle and applied for a search warrant. They recovered:
