>>162699Kristan Hawkins @KristanHawkins - Since I’ve had a few new followers recently, I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself! Here’s a little about me and some things you might find interesting:
-I was born in West Virginia, near Pittsburgh, PA.
-I started my pro-life mission when I was 15, volunteering at a pregnancy help center.
-I graduated high school & college early, so I was able to launch Students for Life full-time at 21, after working for the Bush-Cheney ‘04 campaign, the RNC, and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
-I met my husband on the first day of high school, and we were married when I was 20.
-Our first child was born when I was 23. We are so lucky to have four children, 3 boys and 1 girl, ranging from 16 to 10. I know…I’m too young-looking to have a 16-year-old!
-Two of our four have cystic fibrosis, and one of our children has a neurological disease that causes difficulty with balance & walking.
-During COVID, our family sold our house and moved into a fifth-wheel trailer and traveled the country for nearly four years.
-I was raised in an amazing non-denominational church, but entered the Catholic Church ten years ago.
-We bought land in Idaho before everyone else did, and when it was cheap…so we are blessed to have been able to build a home in our favorite part of the country & have a house that doesn’t move anymore.
-I love puppies, and we have four…and they all sleep on my side of the bed.
-My husband and I love taking our family on hiking and history field trips.
-I’ve loved the Dave Matthews Band since I was 14.
-I played the cello until my children were little…hoping to pick it back up at some point.
-I love to bake (when I have time) and mail cookies to our supporters every Christmas.
-I had a bunny for a pet during college who was trans. We thought she was a girl until “she” grew testicles, had her little surgery, and she was a girl until she died. Lol.
