i do take him to the trails that i hike, but he hasn't wanted to go recently
this past sunday when i was driving him home from lunch, he told me when he was stationed in italy back in the 1960's he used to buy American cigarettes on the cheap and then sell them back to the italians for a profit. so he said this redhead came into the bar near the base and he patted her on the butt, he explained this was how you let the italian women know that you liked them.
he said she did not respond to the pat, so later he was given an address to deliver a carton of American cigarettes to, and lo and behold, when he knocked on the door it was this same redhead who answered the door. he went on to describe what happened next and i just kept saying, "oh yea Dad? really Dad..."
