If federal employees all get 100% back pay once government reopens, then they are on a paid (albeit delayed pay) vacation.
Why don't they work through a shutdown - since they are going to be paid for it as if they had worked once tbe faucets are turned on again.
What an absolute ripoff for the tax payer.
Apologies to Anons who may be currently working with delayed pay checks (or not working but expecting 100% backpay for non-worked time once govt is functional again). Bills keep coming even if pay is delayed. But it is time off with 100% pay expected to cover all of it without having to use vacation or sick days.
Why don't taxpayers get the benefit of the bargain since the time will be paid for as if worked, even though it wasn't worked.
What is Anon missing?
