I remember the price at $1,000 plus the $250 processing fee but yes the beef price has gone up over the last 5 years. I plan on buying a half cow worth next year so I'll have to wait and see how much it has risen. Always worth buying from local farmers/ranchers, I tend to save money when I buy from the local farmer markets.
