He spoke almost zero English.
When I asked if he had ID, he shook his head.
He had a truck with a small magnet or decal with the Spectrum logo.
As I questioned him, he kept moving closer to the door.
Something clicked in me and I slammed the door in his face. Grabbed my pew pew from my purse and my phone, and started making calls.
I then called Spectrum. After some research on their end, they informed me there was no service noted in or around my address.
While I was on the phone with spectrum, he stayed outside of my house in his truck for a couple of minutes.
When I went back to get a picture, he was gone.
Next call, the police. After giving the information for a non-emergency report, an officer called.
He was polite but said since a crime hadn’t been committed, there was nothing he could do except drive around the neighborhood and see if he was still nearby.
I gave him a description of the guy and his truck. Hispanic guy, 5’7ish wearing jeans, a yellow vest, and driving a silver truck. That’s it.
I’ve seen the police car driving around the neighborhood for about 45 minutes now.
I can’t explain it, but the guy was wrong. I could just…..feel it.
I’m a little unnerved. Keeping the pew pew right next to me until Junie gets home from school.
