When I was a baby my adopted father found me surrounded by addicts
Hadn’t been changed or fed for several days
He told me I cried for 6 months straight
One night after working doubles he came in to relieve my adoptive mother and I fell asleep for the first time on his chest
He shared with me that he had brought me in just for a short time, that was over 30 years ago
He has been my best friend and biggest supporter ever since
We talk daily and he is always here to remind me to keep going after my dreams
