Not talking is how this all went off the rails to begin with, pushed by Cold War relics, war hawks, and neocons. When Trump said in 2015, “If we could get along with Russia, wouldn’t that be a good thing instead of a bad thing?” he was immediately hit with the fraudulent Russia collusion hoax, because that was something the establishment could never allow. The endless vilification of Russia came at a huge cost. It blinded everyone to the real threat from China and, ironically, drove Moscow straight into Beijing’s arms. Those are catastrophic outcomes. Anything that might begin to undo that, including what Rep. Luna is doing, should be welcomed.
