Mollie @MZHemingway - This is so insane and so divorced from reality that it tells us the situation at the FBI was a million times worse than even those who think it’s unsalvageable believed. Ed Corrigan is one of the most beloved members of the conservative movement across every faction on the right.

MOMof DataRepublican @data_republican - I'm reposting this for a couple of reasons:
1) I want to share a follow-up to this story... if you're not interested, scroll on.
2) I'm seeing so many posts from people worried about their EBT and food stamps being cut off.
I originally shared this article on the same day that Charlie was murdered, so it was obviously ill-timed and paled in comparison to what happened hours after I posted it. My daughter @datarepublican had a close relationship with Charlie during the election, and we are still mourning his loss.
Anyway, years ago a few months after Jennica lost her hearing and I was able to function again (barely), I was trying to figure out what to do next. My life was from that point on dedicated to her education and her ability to live a productive, happy life despite the disability.
We were living in Hawaii at the time, and I took my kids to the mall and stopped to get a treat in the food court. Jennica was the cutest little girl ever (in my opinion), and the two workers at the food court were trying to engage her in conversation. I told them that she was deaf, and one of them said, "Oh, wow! My brother is deaf!" I said, "Oh, really? How is he doing?" And the answer has stuck with me to this day:
"Oh, he's doing great! He's 21 years old and lives with his girlfriend. They both get money and don't even have to work! The government just pays for everything!"
"Seriously?" I asked myself. "Is this what I should aspire to?" I knew no deaf people at all, but I knew my child would not do this! And she hasn't disappointed!
But what happens to people's psyche that they not only accept this fate, but they actually pursue it?!? That's why I don't like the welfare system. I don't mind helping. I do mind supporting people who feel entitled and who think like this. (sorry this is so long.)
