William Lopez, "Raiding the Heartland". Author William Lopez documented the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids on small and rural towns -- and the fallout for families and local economies. The book is based on his own field work in communities and workplaces. Mr. Lopez is a professor of public health and a faculty associate in the Latina/Latino Studies Program at the University of Michigan.
