Fr. Dave Nix @FrDaveNix - I was once chaplain at a high-security prison on the eastern plains of Colorado. My first sacramental concern was always baptism and then confession. Then, after they were in grace, I might figure out how to bring them Holy Mass or Communion. Any decent priest who has worked with prisoners (or even those detained by ICE) knows they usually need confession before other sacraments. Same in nursing homes. Same in hospitals. Same on the streets. Same even in parishes. Why then are US clergy and the Vatican weaponizing ONLY the Eucharist around ICE detainees? Because for them, this is politics, not the salvation of souls.
