A 9th circuit court of appeals ruled that the USDA acted unlawfully by exempting seed oils from mandatory "bioengineered" labeling requirements.
The loophole used to exempt the majority of ultra-processed food has now been closed and USDA is required to devise a plan to fix this.
This means big changes in grocery store labeling are ahead.
