Victoria Sorocean fled to the U.S. to avoid a 17 year prison sentence and was arrested by ICE during the first Trump administration in January 2020.
Per DHS, after her 2020 ICE arrest, she used various “legal tactics” to avoid deportation, including filing multiple appeals, before ultimately being released into the U.S. during the Biden administration in 2022.
She is now back in federal custody after being arrested by ICE in Los Angeles last week.
