Homeland Security @DHSgov - ICE removed 54 Iranian citizens on this removal mission including terrorists, human smugglers, and suspected foreign agents. All individuals removed had a final order of removal or an order granting voluntary departure. All individuals were given due process.
Mr. Dalir and Mr. Amousi broke the law—they illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border. This might strike the New York Times as breaking news, but the Trump administration has been enforcing our nation’s laws since January 20, 2025.
As DHS has warned foreigners for months, if you attempt to cross the border illegally, Customs and Border Protection is going to arrest you, and that is exactly what happened to both Mr. Dalir and Mr. Amousi.
