Sara sacrificed all her young life to enable me to lead the State of Israel. She has paid a heavy personal price for it and is undergoing character assassination that no prime minister's wife has endured in this country, and perhaps in the world.
Yair was smeared even as a little 5-year-old boy when a satirical show made a cruel parody of him. The attacks didn't stop in his youth, and they continue all the time.
So it's time to say to all the slanderers and all those joining in—
Enough with the slanders, the defamation, and the lies against my family.
On this occasion, I want to thank the many, many people in the nation who support Sara and Yair and appreciate their contributions.
I am proud of my wife and son who stand heroically on the front lines and remain steadfast even when the poisonous fire is aimed straight at them.
Sara and Yair, I love you, and I thank you for everything you do for me and for our beloved country.
