The Civil War: Formerly Enslaved Man's Union Army Service.
University of Georgia professor Stephen Berry discussed Prince Rivers, once an enslaved carriage driver in South Carolina, who became one of the first men to join and one of the last to leave service in the Union Army. The Gettysburg College Civil War Institute hosted this event.
